PURPOSE: Practice using forms of irregular verbs

LEVEL: Intermediate

DESCRIPTION:

This ESL / EFL worksheet helps develop and improve reading and writing skills by offering learners of English to practice using two forms (Infinitive or Present Simple Tense form and Past Participle or Past Simple Form) of ten commonly used irregular verbs. Each of the verbs is to be used appropriately in a set of three sentences written in Present and Past tenses. The sentences are based around information on Bonfire Night celebration also known as Guy Fawkes Night. The answers are provided on a separate page.

This activity can be used alongside other activities on the same topic.

Consider using irregular verbs cut up cards to pre-teach the target words or to check your learners knowledge in the end of the same lesson or during one of the following lessons as a follow up activity:
